The last day of school

Today was the last day of school.
True the GCSE's still lie before us but school is over.
I will never again have a lesson at my current school - I am moving to Inverness and will be going to a mixed boarding school in Scotland.
no more English :-)
no more history :-(
no more geography :-(
no more German :-)) !!!! Yey!!!
no more DT :-(

It is the end of an era - for me.
I would encourage people from school to check this blog reguarly as I intend to post nearly every day.
Good luck in your exams and have fun.
God Bless

Goodbye. - I will miss you.

"God Bless". Would it be possible to see posts confined to this blog being less religious influenced and religious posts kept to your religion blog. You still go to school? I;ve been getting the wrong impression reading some of this - keep it up :)

'God Bless' is the best thing I could think to say to all the people who have been in my year these past 5 years there is nothing better that I could say not greater blessing. Being a Christian is an intrinsic part of what I am. It is important to all my arguments all my thoughts. I cannot separate it from myself without splitting myself. I try to put forward my arguments based on ideas that everyone can understand i.e. not including the religious arguments. In order to make them easier to understand to more people - but my morals and principles are underwritten by my religion and nothing can change that.

U missed a most excellent leavers party on Thursday. If we do it again, say on the last day of exams would u make an appearance? It would be a final send off.

Possibly if I thought the probablility of people getting drunk and disorderly was less than 0.01. which most likely means no. however do you know what is happening about the year book?
I might organise some sort of party myself after the exams - but it would only be for a few people and would only invove going to the cinema and pizza.

In fact, might I further my point by identifying Somerset Maugham's 'The Judgement Seat', well worth a read.

**Max**, in the words of ABBA, "without a song or a dance, what are we?" As a Christian, should you not enjoy the gift of life as bestowed by God. Yes, we will get drunk and perhaps even 'disorderly', but your piety is essentially ungracious since it fails to enjoy all possibilities of this, at least for the moment, our sole existance.

To which I would reply that you can have a great time without having to resort numbing your senses. I would reply that the better you can feel the more you can feel and the better a time it is possible to have - in which case getting drunk inhibits your ability to have a great time.
:-)
for furhter discussion of this see my post on this topic.

Yes Max, but as an existentialist, alcohol provides relief from inevitable fate.

Consider then whether relief is needed. Or whether alcohol provides relief - or at least relief that lasts - when taken in large quantities.
Yes a small amount of medicine may cure you but an overdose makes you ill. But everyone can make their own choice though I would recommend 'everything in moderation including moderation' - I know not who wrote that but I like it.
